Ring Djursland, Denmark: American Jason Workman is visiting the top tier of the Danish FF2000 podium with continuing regularity. At Ring Djursland racetrack on August 14-15, Workman continued his winning ways despite some challenges in the first race that made his victory even more exciting. In the first of a two race event weekend, Workman qualified third after some troubling handling problems. With set-up changes to the Valvoline Scandinavia/Ford of Denmark sponsored entry, Workman quickly moved to 2nd place on the start. A daring move later in the race resulted in Workman taking the victory. "It was a great race," said an elated Workman. "We raced wheel to wheel, I was forced to go high in the turn to get past Tommy Jespersen and it worked! I was able to get past him to take the lead. What a great race!"

In the second race, Workman secured pole position, led from the start and took a convincing victory. With one additional point each for pole position and fastest race lap, as well as 20 points for a victory, Workman scored 42 points out of a possible perfect 44. If Workman can win two more races, out of the remaining four events, Workman can mathematically secure the championship. He will join a very short list of Americans to have won a European based open-wheel championship.

Workman has 190 points, 39 more than 2nd place Tommy Jespersen and 50 points over defending series champion, Claus Madsen. The next event is scheduled for Jyllandsringen Racetrack on August 28-29.
