ADM Motorsport is back on the road to success with their Austrian born fighter Norbert Siedler arriving 2nd and posting the fastest lap time in a very difficult wet race in the streets of Pau.
Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal): "The road to success is not always a straight, but despite our bad start to the 2008 season in Valencia, we were always aware that we are competitive. Norbert set the 2nd fastest lap time in qualifying just seconds before the finish, which was the groundwork for this 2nd position in the race. We will now even increase our efforts to improve our car and I hope that we can add a few more points tomorrow."
Norbert Siedler (car # 17, P2): "It seems that my decision to race in International Formula Master in addition to our race programme in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup was right. Nobody can imagine how difficult it is to fight on a competitive level with these two completely different race cars at the same time and I think I can be pretty happy with what I have achieved during the last week. The city circuit of Pau is as challenging as Monte Carlo and for me this kind of racing has always been a special kind of thrill."
Michele Caliendo (car # 22, P14): "There is nothing special to say about my race. I finished 9th in my qualifying group, which was the 20th grid position overall, so my 14 place in the race is quite ok. Overtaking was almost impossible so I tried to avoid any mistakes and finish the race without taking any risks."
Octavio Freitas (car # 16, out): "Pau is a very difficult track, especially in the rain so this was maybe too much for a rookie driver like me. Everything happened so quickly. I just lost control of my car over the pumps and my race was over. Anyway, tomorrow is another day and my goal is to see the chequered flag and gain some more experience."
Frankie Provenzano (car #21. P18): "I crashed into the barriers in the first lap so it's needless to say that I am disappointed."
The 3rd Round of International Formula Master on the southern French city circuit will be replayed tomorrow at 9.00 a.m. on Eurosport.
