Successful Showdown for ADM Motorsport

ADM Motorsport completed the 2008 season with six podiums in the last three events of International and Italia Formula Master, as the seasonal finale at Monza saw Tomas Pivoda and Michele Caliendo coming home in the top 3 in the national championship. The final showdown in the "Parco Reale" was highlighted by the breakthrough of ADM's Czech rookie driver, who demonstrated an incredible coolness in qualifying...

Renato Melchioretto (Team Principal): "There is no doubt, that this year has been an extremely difficult one for the entire team. We had to overcome a fire accident that destroyed our truck and one race car and in addition to that some driver changes, mainly caused by the usual budget problems. But at the end we were praised for our staying power. Considering all these obstacles I am quite happy with what we achieved. One win and two podiums in the International series and another eight top three results in Italia Formula Master. Norbert Siedler's impressive lead in Brands Hatch and Earl Bamber's victory in Imola show cased our competitiveness, so it's quite obvious that we have to sign another top driver for 2009. Tomas Pivoda, despite his age, shows a lot of potential and his break through here in Monza is indeed another highlight for us. He posted a lap time of 1:45.1 min in qualifying which was amazing, given that he had spun and slightly damaged his suspension just a few minutes before. I am happy to see him and his team mate Michele on the podium again."

Tomas Pivoda (car # 8, P3 and P4): "Well, this was nothing more than a learning year and after arriving directly from karting I can be pretty happy with my progress especially here in Monza. I was second in free practice and third in qualifying, even if I had to survive a shocking moment in the first chicane. At the end my lap times were at least as important for my self confidence as the podium. I will continue to work hard as the testing preparations for 2009 will start after a very short brake of two weeks."

Michele Caliendo (car # 22, out/P3): "A 3rd place in Monza is the right way to finish a very difficult season, so in the next couple of weeks I will have to make up my mind about my future. I am very thankful to Renato and to his crew, who made an excellent job all over the year and provided me with a competitive car. And, needless to say, I appreciated the positive atmosphere within the ADM family."

Federico Scionti (car #17, out/P5): "Unfortunately my second race weekend for ADM Motorsport was not as successful as the one in Maggione, but that's racing."

The team has already acknowledged its participation in next year's Formula Master and is looking forward to present their future talents during the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends in Spa and Budapest.
