Goddard: "I'm ready for F1"

Banbury, UK, Friday 23rd August 2002: Next Sunday, 1st September, at Donington Park, 22 year old Earl Goddard will look to win a fourth consecutive race in the NDS EuroBOSS Series and move one step closer to a Formula One drive.

To suggest that Silverstone-based Goddard is in-form is an understatement. This year his three race victories have been by margins of at least 30 seconds despite strong competition, he has 2 pole positions to his name,3 fastest laps and 2 outright lap records. Goddard is starting to be noticed and is ready to take the next step towards F1.

Earl Goddard, NDS EuroBOSS Driver:
"Things have fallen into place this year. I've worked hard on my fitness and mental approach. The will to win and speed have always been there but I haven't always driven to my potential. This year I'm driving Michael Schumachers 1994 World Championship winning Benetton and racing as well as ever. I feel I've served a good apprenticeship and am ready to make the most of any opportunity that comes my way."

Roger Cowman, NDS EuroBOSS Race Director:
"When drivers of the calibre of Harri Toivenen and Tom Coronel imply that Earl is a different class it is time to take notice. In the previous round, the Marlboro Masters in Holland, NDS EuroBOSS supported International Formula 3 with its packed grid of potential stars. Earl's race and qualifying performance outshone most of these. EuroBOSS is Europe's fastest single seater Formula and Goddard is regularly racing at speeds of up to 200mph. When his Formula One chance arrives he may face a learning curve but driving quickly will definitely not be part of it."

NDS EuroBOSS, Europe's fastest motor racing series, is open to Indy Car and pre-1998 Formula One and F3000 chassis with engines of unlimited capacity.
