02 February.- Vergani Racing, current series runner-up, finished today its 3-day private testing at Monza. In addition to the team from Roncello, also GD Racing, Scuderia Fam=E1 and GTEC were at Monza, but only for the two previous days.

In the overall results, Portuguese driver Manuel Giao (Scuderia Fam=E1) got the best lap time (1.46.01). Yesterday it was time to see the performance of Tomas Scheckter. Scheckter arrived from Catalunya were he lapped for Jaguar F1 (as the British team test driver). However, Scheckter could not lap as fast as Giao =ADseries runner-up in 1999- did. Giao vs. Scheckter could be an amazing =8Cbattle=B9 in the 2001 Open Telefonica= , provided that the South African driver is finally confirmed as backed by Jaguar to take part in the coming season.

Spanish driver Santiago Porteiro also tested with Vergani Racing, but could not go faster than 1.48.1
