HIGH DEFINITION PRODUCTION FOR FORMULA MASTER

International Formula Master races will be produced in High Definition throughout 2009 by official broadcaster Eurosport.

The races, shown live on the pan-European channel, will benefit from the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) broadcast array of track-side HD and RF HD cameras, as well as newly developed Digitial TV outside-broadcast facilities.

Despite recent speculation, International Formula Master organisers can confirm the Series' future is secure for 2009 and beyond, with established partnerships including the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and Eurosport confirmed until 2012.

Prizes for this year's top Formula Master drivers have also been confirmed and include:

- Access to the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Team simulator
- WTCC test with the Chevrolet team
- GP2 Series test with the Dams team
- Indy Lights test with the Sam Schmidt Motorsport team

"It saddens me to hear rumours regarding IFM's future," said General Manager Alessandro Alunni Bravi. "We have a strong package, which has worked extremely well in the past two years and there is no reason why this year should be any different.

"Our car development is done and has already proven successful in pre-season testing, which has featured 16 drivers to date; entries have already been announced with several names to be added in the next few of days; and we have taken steps towards the cost-effectiveness of our Series to ensure teams affected by the current financial situation can still compete.

"With four weeks still to go until our racing season begins, and two more official testing sessions in the meantime, our teams as well as their confirmed and potential drivers are all getting ready for what I'm sure will be our best season to date."
