Kelly MacPhaden, a rookie female racer who competes in the Ontario-Region Formula F1rst series, is expected to test a Formula Ford 1600 race car on August 8th at Mosport. Kelly is currently preparing her team to compete in the Canadian Formula Ford Series in 2004.

Kelly MacPhaden is the first female racer in her series to be in the points lead in her rookie year. Kelly comments "This series is a great training ground for one to learn how to race open wheels. I still have alot to work to accomplish in my driver development skills before I feel I am ready to advance. My team sponsors and ABC Racing have been the back bone to my acheivements. I hope to continue in being successful for the rest of the racing season."

The Kelly MacPhaden Race team was formulated by Kelly with the assistance of her Manager Mike George. She is the owner and the driver of her red and silver #144 Black Hole chassis. Kelly concludes, "I would like to thank Quaker State Oil and Kumho Tires USA, for their product support in Formula F1rst series. Their product support has been instrumental to the awesome performance of the car this season".

Kelly's car club (BARC) will be hosting the next racing event on August 9th and 10th at Mosport. Kelly hopes to tie the CASC championship points for first, and maintain her lead in the F1rst Series.
