FAIRFIELD, N.J. (February 14, 2000) -- The U.S. F2000 National Championship presented by Speedvision has announced the contingency awards package for 2000, offering over $147,000 to eligible competitors.

Contingency prizes are awarded to drivers and teams that run specific products. Each individual manufacturer has specific eligibility requirements, however most require that the product be used on the race car and that decals be on the car identifying their product.

The 2000 contingency sponsors list includes a vast aray of products. In the car manufacturer catergory, both Carbir Race Cars and Vector USA have posted awards, offering up to $27,000 and $30,000 respectively. Engine buliders Elite Engines, Mangov Engines and Quicksilver Racengines will award up to $19,500, $32,200 and $18,900 respectively. Parts suppliers Eibach Springs ($3,600), Hyperco Inc. ($2,250), Motorsports Spares International/Ohlins Shocks ($4,900), Pi Research ($15,100) and Taylor Race Egineering ($3,500) have also posted awards.

"We're proud to welcome these great sponsors on board for 2000," said Kurt Hunt, U.S. F2000 Director of Marketing. "Once again, they have demonstrated a commitment to the U.S. F2000 National Championship and the development of the world's best young drivers."
