2009 IFM DRIVERS TO TEST THE CHEVROLET CRUZE WTCC

Chevrolet Confirmed As IFM's Official Course Car Partner

ZURICH, 24th March 2009 - International Formula Master (IFM) and Chevrolet have signed a partnership, which will provide IFM drivers the chance to test a FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) Chevrolet Cruze as part of the array of prizes lined-up for this season's top Formula Master racers.

Partnering the WTCC, since its racing debut in May 2007, International Formula Master has enjoyed a close relationship with the championship's organisers and teams, enabling this latest testing opportunity with Chevrolet.

The test session will see at least one of this year's top IFM drivers awarded the chance to get behind the wheel of the 2009 Cruze WTCC. Chevrolet's newest entry in the championship is the race version of the new Chevrolet Cruze compact sedan currently introduced in global markets.

Chevrolet is also confirmed as the official car partner to IFM and will supply course cars for all 2009 race weekends.

"We are looking forward to seeing a Formula Master driver at the wheel of one of our cars", said Chevrolet Europe Motorsport Manager Eric Neve. "The Series is a strong part of our weekend, and we always keep an eye on how well its young drivers are doing. It will be good to see how one of them fares at the wheel of our world touring car. This partnership, which will give additional visibility to the new Cruze, fits perfectly with Chevrolet's fresh and dynamic image".

Chevrolet has taken part in the WTCC since its inception in 2005, with 14 race victories to its name, whilst drivers Alain Menu, Robert Huff and Nicola Larini have collected 38 podium finishes between them over the past four seasons.

"It's very satisfying to see bridges being built between key partners of the WTCC to help talented upcoming drivers in motorsport", said Marcello Lotti, KSO's General Manager. "Formula Master has always worked with that goal in mind and I'm glad to see one of our WTCC teams working closely with them".

"We are very pleased for the opportunity that Chevrolet, a truly global brand, is giving to our drivers", added IFM General Manager Alessandro Alunni Bravi. "This is a great chance for one of our young racers to experience touring cars at their highest level whilst working with a top team".
