Neil Doran wrapped up his 2004 Formula Ford Championship in style as he took another class victory at a rainy Brands Hatch
Neil Doran and his team Kevin Mills Racing ended the year on a high as Neil took his sixth scholarship win of the season and confirmed his second place in the championship. Neil also had a podium result in the first race of the day in the shape of third place which secured his championship position with one race to spare. Neil's win in race two which he finished seventh overall netted him eight in the overall championship even though he missed the two races at Spa in Belgium.
Race two at Brands Hatch saw Neil under race long pressure in rainy conditions as he held off Scotland's Ryan Cannon to take his final win of the year. Neil said, "It was a hard race in tricky conditions, I was quicker than Ryan in places and he was quicker than me in others. I just made it as hard as possible for him and made no mistakes to give him the chance to pass me. I think the year could have looked very different if things had gone our way a little more but that's racing and I'm now looking forward to next year."
Both Neil and everyone at Neil Doran Motorsport would like to thank all those who have supported Neil through out the year and we hope to see you at the races in 2005.
