Kincaid First to Register for FCP "Decision at Sundown"
CRANDON, Wis. -- Perennial off-road champion Jeff Kincaid, Argonne, Wis., is the first official racer to register for the 2009 Forest County Potawatomi "Decision at Sundown" Pro Light Pickup Cup Race.
The green flag drops for the Decision at Sundown at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, Friday, September 4, 2009 at 6 P.M. The race is the first of a weekend of World Championship Off-Road Races at the famous "Super Bowl" of off-road racing.
The race is the 3rd annual. Kincaid is undefeated in the "Decision", winning the 2008 and 2007 Cup races in his Traxxas Forest County Potawatomi BFGoodrich rocket ship. Kincaid's registration was followed by that of Josh Hintz, Green Bay, Wis. It will be the first race event for Hintz this season. Kincaid has been pressed for the win by racers such as Chad Hord, Felch, Mich., Steve Federico, Wilmette, Ill., Mark Oberg, Eagle River, Wis., and Randy Eller, Taylorville, Ill.
The race features a shortened land rush start leading into what Crandon calls its "short-short" track of ½ mile. The traditional track for the weekend is 1.5 miles long. The race winner receives $2,500 with second and third place finishers earning $2,000 and $1,000 respectively.
The race is open to all Traxxas Off-Road Championship Series presented by AMSOIL (TORC) Pro Lite class race trucks - mid-size pickup trucks of 300 HP.
Additional racing action takes place on Friday night under the lights. On Saturday and Sunday the off-road World Championships features TORC class racing all day and two significant Cup races - the 15th running for the BorgWarner Cup - and the 2nd running for the new Mole Lake Casino Stock Truck Cup.
