BARSTOW, CALIFORNIA: A new, three round "Trophy Dash" Series for offroad race cars, and offroad race trucks has been announced.

The Trophy Dash Series is being organized by La Rana Desert Racing, the leading promoters of professional offroad racing in the High Desert areas of California.

The Summer Heat Trophy Dash Series, will be contested in the Mohave Desert, south of Barstow and will be open to all classes of offroad race vehicles. The series is to be held on land designated for recreational offroad use, under permit from the Bureau of Land Management.

La Rana Desert Racing also hosts a separate, seven round, series of long distance off road desert races in the Mohave High Desert region.

Round One, the Sign Tech Trophy Dash, is to be held on Saturday August 12th and Sunday August 13th. Racing starts at 10.00am on both days, and runs all day until 5-00pm.

The organizer, Mr Eddie Castro of LRDR, states, " Spectators will be able to see most of the race course from several Spectator Areas around the course. We have designed the course so that the race vehicles wind their way in and around these spectator viewing points. The whole course uses existing roads and tracks, and starts and finishes in the same place."

The five mile course will start and finish at the Sidewinder Road exit off of Interstate 15, and is within sight of the Interstate 15/Lenwood Road exit. Admission and Parking is free.
