2001 Off-Road World Champions Crowned At Crandon Raceway

CRANDON, WI -- Professional off-road racing action at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway this past weekend included competition for annual World Championship titles in various off-road truck, buggy and sedan classes. In the final race of the season for select classes, titles were earned in 11 different classes ranging from high performance off-road trucks to Classix American Sedans.

At stake were special Crandon International Off-Road Raceway sterling silver and blue firestone World Championship rings. Crandon Raceway annually presents rings to World Champions. This is the 17th consecutive year of the award, valued at $500 each. For the first time in six years, a winner was crowned in the Class 3 amateur 4x4 truck class known as "Formula 4x4". Listed below are World Champions by off-road class. Off-road races were conducted this past Saturday at the 2000 BorgWarner World Championship Off-Road Races.
