CRANDON, Wis. (Aug. 31, 2003) - Jeff Kincaid moved one step closer to claiming his fourth Pro-Lite division championship by remaining on top of the standings after Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2003 Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) series in Crandon, Wis. The famous "Land Rush" start at Crandon resulted in several first turn accidents, including no fewer than five roll-overs, and forced the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tacoma driver into survival mode. All of the first-turn jostling led to mechanical trouble in both rounds for Kincaid, who salvaged ninth- and 10th-place finishes this weekend. Despite his bad luck, Kincaid increased his overall points lead to 17 with only two rounds of racing remaining.

Moving into second place in the standings behind Kincaid was fellow Toyota off-road racer Chad Hord in his Boss Snowplow Toyota Tacoma. Hord earned a third-place finish in Round 11 on Saturday and was fourth in Sunday's Round 12. Another Toyota driver to post strong results was Ingle's Market/Mountain Dew Toyota Tacoma racer Steve Federico, who survived the wild racing and took second- and third-place finishes over the Labor Day weekend event. Overall, six Toyota racers finished in the top-10 in Round 11 and five top-10s in Round 12.

Defending Pro-4 class champion Johnny Greaves also battled bad luck all weekend and slipped one position to fourth in the championship standings. Transmission problems led to a fourth-place finish in Round 11 for the Forest County Potawatomi Toyota Tundra 4x4 driver. On Sunday, Greaves was challenging for second place when a cut tire forced him to finish in seventh position. Greaves has 150 points overall, 22 behind the leader.

The 2003 CORR Lucas Oil Series season finale will be at the Unadilla Valley Sports Center in New Berlin, N.Y., for Rounds 13 and 14 on September 13-14.
