GREAVES SCORES IN PRO-4, RENEZEDER WINS AGAIN AT TOYO TIRES OFF-ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS
TOPEKA, Kan. (July 9, 2005) - Wisconsin native John Greaves has certainly found a second home at Heartland Park Topeka. Greaves captured his third Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing Series round win in Topeka over the last two years Saturday night at the Second Annual Toyo Tires Off-Road Championships.
Greaves held off Steve McCrossan and Josh Baldwin for his second win of the season Saturday night, and vaulted past third-place finisher Baldwin into third in the Lucas Oil Pro-4 season standings.
After finishing third in Pro-2 and winning the Pro-4 race on Friday, Carl Renezeder held off a field of nine racers to claim his second win of 2005 in the Pro-2 category. Friday's winner, Dan "The Flying Dutchman" Vanden Heuvel finished second, followed by Kevin Probst.
Defending Pro-Lite champion Kyle LeDuc swept the weekend at Heartland Park Topeka, winning for a second straight round and picking up his tenth career victory. Jeff Kincaid was second, followed by Mark Krueger.
Friday and Saturday's racing action at Heartland Park Topeka is scheduled to be broadcast on Speed Television on Friday, Sept. 9 beginning at 7 p.m. (CST) Friday's round seven will air at 7 p.m., followed at 8 p.m. with round eight of the Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing Series.
Heartland Park Topeka, a multi-purpose racing facility located in Topeka, Kan. annually hosts NHRA POWERade drag racing, Championship OFF-Road Racing (CORR), and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in addition to many other events throughout the race season.
