CORR Returns to HPT in 2005
November 11, 2004 -- TOPEKA, Kansas -- The Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing Series will return to Heartland Park Topeka for a second straight year in 2005.
The Second Annual Toyo Tires Off-Road Championships will be run through, over, out, and back into the Heartland Park Topeka 3/8-mile banked oval dirt track on Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9. For the first time in Topeka, the CORR event will be held entirely under the lights on both nights.
CORR features racing in three professional classes (Pro-4, Pro-2, and Pro-Lite) and five sportsman classes (Sportsman-2, Stock, Super Buggy, Single Buggy, and Light Buggy.)
2004 Pro-4 Champion Jason Baldwin and Pro-Lite Champion Kyle LeDuc won at Heartland Park Topeka in Round Eight of the Lucas Oil Championship Off-Road Racing Series. Steve Barlow (Pro-2), Evan Evans (Pro-2), John Greaves (Pro-4) and Rick Huseman (Pro-Lite) also collected victories during the two rounds of competition at Heartland Park Topeka in July of 2004.
