Avon, Ind. (March 1, 2001)-The CORR EXXON Superflo Pro Series will continue to expand its national fan base in 2002. A contract was signed with the Unadilla Valley Sports Center in Edmeston, N.Y. that will bring the CORR EXXON Superflo Pro Series to the Empire State for the first time.
"The Unadilla Valley Sports Center is going to be an exceptional addition to the 2002 EXXON Superflo Pro Series," said CORR President Marty Reid. "With the addition of Fort Dodge, Iowa and Topeka, Kan. in 2000, and now Unadilla in 2002, CORR's influence continues to expand."
The Unadilla Valley Sports Center is located in central New York, approximately 70 miles southeast of Syracuse, and 30 miles south of Utica along Route 8. For the past 32 years, the Unadilla Valley Sports Center established itself as one of the elite Motocross racing facilities in the nation. Unadilla annually hosts the U.S. AMA National Motocross Championships.
Ward Robinson, President of the Unadilla Valley Sports Center, said that CORR would bring excitement to an area with a strong fan base. With a large truck driving population, the CORR Pro Series will bring as much 4-wheel excitement as Motocross provides on 2-wheels.
"We're excited about it here," Robinson said. "We've already got calls asking if the rumor is true--that this is what we are doing (bringing CORR to Unadilla). We are really happy to have an opportunity to do this."
The date for the event is May 24-26, 2002. Practice will begin May 24, with racing on May 25-26. For more information, visit www.unadillamx.com.
