The battle for PRO-2 Supremacy concludes Labor Day Weekend in Crandon, WI.
August 20, 2001 - Belvidere, IL -- Scott Taylor finds himself 5 points of second place Evan Evans heading into the final two rounds of the Lucas Oil CORR Pro-2 Championship. All season long Scott has been in a tough battle with Evan Evans, Kevin Probst, and Dan Vanden Huvel. The final weekend of racing, the Borg-Warner Championships in Crandon, Wisconsin, August 31-September 1, will determine the champion.
Scott Taylor...." The PRO-2 division has been extremely competitive all year long. At every round the practically entire field was capable of winning. In my 25 years of racing, this year's competition has been the toughest ever faced. "
Scott will also have the added pressure at the Borg-Warner Shootout as the defending champion of the season's other HEAVY METAL Challenge, the Potowatomi Governor's Cup.
The Borg-Warner Shootout and the Potowatomi Governor's Cup races are unique events the pits the Pro-2 (2wd) and Pro-4 (4wd) trucks against one another for some of the largest prize money in off-road racing.
Scott Taylor is the only professional off-road racer in the country that has participated in very single Heavy Metal Challenge Race at Crandon since the inception of the BorgWarner Shootout and the Potawatomi Governor's Cup. That's nine Governor Cup races and 7 Shootouts -- (will be 8 after this one since he is already registered...).
Scott Taylor Off-Road Racing is proud to announce that Miller Electric, world's largest manufacturer of arc welding and cutting equipment, is the newest associate marketing partner for the team.
