BFGoodrich Tires Continues as Official Tire of CORR Lucas Oil Series
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- February 23, 2004 -- BFGoodrich® Tires will continue as the Official Tire of the Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) series. BFGoodrich Tires has been the official tire of CORR since the series began in 1998.
When BFGoodrich Tires became the Official Tire of CORR in 1998, the brand was already a well established entity in off-road racing. Since the first CORR race, BFGoodrich tires have been the tire of choice for 15 out of 18 Pro Series (Pro-4, Pro-2, Pro-Lite) championship winners.
"We are proud to continue our association with CORR," said Todd Steen, motorsports marketing manager for BFGoodrich Tires. "CORR is unique in that it provides fans and our dealers an exciting, up-close look at off- road racing."
What many consumers may not realize is that many BFGoodrich Tires teams compete on the same Mud-Terrain T/A®KM tires that are available to consumers through their local tire dealer.
BFGoodrich Tires has used its championship team of racers to provide feedback that is essential for the advancement in tire technology. Championship Off Road Racing drivers Carl Renezeder, Curt LeDuc, Scott Douglas, John Greaves, Scott Taylor, Jeff Kincaid and Rick Huseman have used that technology to carry them during their flourishing careers.
BFGoodrich Tires' off-road racing legacy began with the introduction of the All-Terrain T/A® nearly 30 years ago. At that time, BFGoodrich used off- road racing to test the All-Terrain T/A tire, which is now the quintessential tire for off-road enthusiasts.
In addition to being the official tire of the series, BFGoodrich will continue to provide on-site support. Not only has BFGoodrich supported Championship Off Road Racing as the Official Tire for seven straight years, their loyalty to the drivers continues to grow, providing thousands of dollars with contingency and year-end bonuses.
