With the first round of the 2010 General Tire TROPHYLITE race series in the books a familiar name takes home the first place trophy. Louis Chamberland and his entire Agave Race Team can be proud to have even finished this years very wet Best in the Desert Parker 425. Weather called for a small chance of showers, but as the race headed past the half way point the clouds opened up and the rain came..... The weather turned on the 13 TROPHYLITE competitors and turned the Parker Arizona desert into running washes and mud.

Team owner Rick Johnson was pleased with the teams finish and start to the year. "Its great to start the year off with a win, especially at a race as hard as the Parker race has been. I want to thank all of our sponsors that help get us here including General Tire, Neo synthetic oil, Competitive door, Currie, KC HiLITES, MasterCraft, Lincoln Welders, Fabtech, Azunia Tequila, Fox Shox, 2XL Games, BlackBox Interactive, and Method Race Wheels. I also want to thank Shrek (Matt) for the great prep and navigation. Winning our second back to back championship in TROPHYLITE means a lot to all of us. I would like to ask you all to pray for Louis for a speedy recovery and I want to dedicate this win to him. I want to thank TROPHYLITE for the series, support and the $5775 in winnings for this race. Where else can you race and make that kind of money back in off-road?" Said Johnson at the finish line.

Gary Messer and his son Troy pulled off a well deserved 2nd place after an early transmission problem forced them to change the unit out on the first lap. With over an hour of downtime on repairs they set out and were struck by the weather and managed to keep pressing to make the finish line. "We really wanted to win this race but with our early trouble and this rain it just wasn't our day. We want to congratulate Rick and Louis for the win. After we got the transmission fixed we were making good time but we missed the window before the weather got too bad on the back side of the course so we had to go through running rivers to get here. The truck ran great and I have to thank my son Troy. He really got us here. I may have driven the truck but his efforts and help made it happen for us." commented Messer when asked after the race.

We all set our sites on round 2 of the 2010 General Tire TROPHYLITE Race Series at the General Tire Mint 400 on March 25-28th.....

Look for the new TROPHYLITE video game by 2XL to be released in late February. It will be available on I-Tunes for your I-Phone, I-Pod Touch, and all new I-Pad devices and will feature the BlackBox Interactive real rewards system for game players to receive real life rewards.
