Kawasaki Team Green "Laughlin U.S. Hare Scrambles" - Best In The Desert Racing Association kicks off their 2001 "Silver State Series" with the Kawasaki Team Green "Laughlin U.S. Hare Scrambles" on February 9, 10, 11, 2001, in Laughlin, Nevada. This is the only "motorcycle only" race in the "Silver State Series" and a race with a great motorcycle race history. The "Laughlin U.S. Hare Scrambles" is considered a very tight and technical motorcycle course and requires a great deal of riding concentration. Casey Folks, Director of Best In The Desert says," The racer must stay aware at all times, not so much because of the technical aspects to this course, but because of the threat of the revered "chollo" cactus, a cactus that seems to jump out of nowhere and strikes the most unfortunate passerby." Registration begins at 10am to 5pm, on Friday, February 9, 2001, followed by Technical Inspection and the Riders Meeting at the Colorado Belle in Laughlin, Nevada.
