Summary of the Nevada 1000 Best in the Desert Off Road race. This is the most grueling longest race in the U.S. held over three days in some of the hottest (108 degrees at 9 in the morning one day!), roughest and siltest races you could imagine. Here is how the Ford Truck teams did:

1st over all and first in Trick Truck, Class 1400, Dameon Jeffries in his F150.

Pro Truck Class 1200, 1st Bob Shepard in a Chevy. In second was Rob Rienertson in his F150 (only 1 second behind in three days of racing)!

Class 8000 Curt LeDuc in his F150 (LeDuc started the event and then flew Friday night to Crandon for the CORR off-road event).

Class 8100 Manny Esquerra in his F150. Greg Foutz was 3rd in his heavy-duty F250.

Class 7300 Rob MacCachren in his FX4 Ranger.

Class 7100 Joe Custer in his Ford Ranger.

Class 3100 Dave Turner in his ACE Explorer, 2nd Mike Flakowski in his Explorer Sport.

Class 7200 Shawn Wanzek in his Ford Ranger.

Class 4100 Rod Hall in a Hummer, 2nd Marc Stein in the ACE Expedition
ACE was penalized an hour for fueling the vehicle on the start line.

Seven of the nine contested classes were won due to great performances from the Ford teams.
