Rookie of the Year Garron Cadiente -- Charts the 2007 SCORE and BITD Season

Mesa, Arizona (January 15, 2007) Last season, Garron Cadiente, stunned the competition when he captured the Best in the Desert Trick Truck Series Championship, as well as being named "Rookie of the Year" in both of the premiere desert racing series.

Headed into the first race of the season, the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge, the 31-year old Arizona resident aims his focus on winning the SCORE Trophy Truck Championship.

Standing amongst the G&R Racing fleet of motor sports vehicles, Garron explained strategy moving into 2007. "One of our primary goals headed into the new season is to win the championship in the SCORE Desert Series. Winning the Best in the Desert championship last year was rewarding. However, in the SCORE Desert Series, we struggled at a couple races, which contributed to a less than stellar season ending standing. The end of this season marks the one year anniversary for our race team operations. Teamwork pays off and we've made great strides for a young team, but we expect the 2007 season to be even better."

Hosted by the City of Laughlin, Nevada, the 13th Annual SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge is the 2007 season-opener for off road desert racers. The festivities begin on Thursday evening, January 18, 2007, under the lights at the Laughlin Events Park, where the nation's top off road racers will face off for the SCORE Laughlin Leap. Racing action begins Saturday and Sunday.

"Laughlin has become one of our favorite races in the SCORE Desert Series. The race course allows thousands of fans to sit atop SCORE Hill and watch the action. This track is unforgiving, therefore mistakes cannot be made. The season is very long and this first stop is important in the season point's race," commented Ron Whitton.

The 2007 season will see G&R Racing compete in the 6-race SCORE Desert Series, as well as the 5-race BITD Silver State Desert Series. Cadiente's #38 truck and Whitton's #39 are slated for duty in the deserts of Nevada and Mexico.

Please stop by the pits at the SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge to meet SCORE Rookie of the Year, Garron Cadiente and SCORE Baja 1000 3rd Place Finisher -- Ron Whitton.
