Mesa, Arizona (January 29, 2007) Winning the 2006 Best in the Desert Trick Truck Championship in his rookie year was the highlight of Garron Cadiente's 2006 season. With his rookie season behind him, the 31 year-old Arizona resident hopes to repeat the winning performance in his second full season of desert racing.

Settled in his Sparco office chair and slightly gripping his MOMO steering wheel, the seasoned adventure athlete tilts his carbon fiber helmet from left to right, as he prepares for yet another test session in his race truck. With his Patton Racing engine rumbling slightly under the watchful eyes of Jeff Geiser, the Arizona desert was about to be awoken by Arizona's latest truck champion, Garron Cadiente. This was just another day in the office for G&R Racing and Geiser Brothers. Teamed together for the 2007 season, they are determined on setting a new mark in the desert racing world.

Cadiente is all business when it comes to racing in the desert. Racing is a passion that he shares with an entire group of close family and friends that includes his teammate and father-in-law, Ron Whitton.

Touted as, "The Fastest Grandpa in the Desert," Whitton is rarely seen without a smile. "It's so much fun racing these trucks through the desert," said a beaming Whitton. "As a team we've grown considerably and we've learned to overcome the many challenging obstacles presented in desert racing. Reaching the podium at the Baja 1000 was a season thriller for the #39 truck and Garron winning both series rookie of the year awards, as well as putting the #38 truck in the championship circle for Best in the Desert series was great. We expect the upcoming season to be even better," explained Whitton.

Cadiente and Whitton have built a successful team in a little more than one year. They continue to captivate the world of desert racing and have matched strides with the best in the business. The 2007 season is already off to a solid beginning as Garron finished 2nd to SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge winner, B.J. Baldwin, in the season's first off road race held in Laughlin, Nevada.

However, the SCORE LDC featured a 6-mile desert race course that covered a total of 72 miles over two-days of racing. Saturday's race features 425 miles of desolate Arizona desert, which is destined to confront the toughest off road teams in the nation with the rigors of desert life.

"The Parker 425 is a great race. It's a long race through some challenging desert terrain. My strategy is to run strong and keep charging at a good pace and then sprint the last 100 miles to the finish line. With the entries continuing to rise, it's going to be a great race. We're very excited about the 2007 season," commented Cadiente.

G&R Racing is sponsored by Whitton Companies, Geiser Brothers, BFGoodrich Tires, TrailReady Beadlocks, Vision X, ION Earth, F&L Racing Fuel, KING Shocks, SignPros, DirtSkins, Patton Racing Engines, SIKKENS Paint, Orlando Auto Body and UPR.

Look for yellow and red Trick Trucks at technical inspection and contingency where you will find Garron Cadiente and Ron Whitton signing autographs for fans, friends and BITD volunteers on February 2, 2007 at the Blue Water Casino.
