their R&D facility in Delaware, Ohio. Richard Maskin and his staff at
DART Machinery will focus 100% of their energy on the Pro Stock engine
program.
"The Pro Stock Truck class is still in the incubation phase and
there is plenty of room for improvement in performance. The engine
development needs constant attention and focus to ensure that the
most effective and efficient methods are being used," explained Mike
Coughlin. "Richard and his staff did a great job and was instrumental
to our early success. All of us including

Richard felt like if he and his staff spent all of their efforts, resources and time on our big block program the overall strength of our engine programs would increase."

The team hired Scott DeYoung. He joined Team Jeg's directly from the NASCAR side of the table. His skills, knowledge and resources became available when

Team SABCO under went some changes and decided to switch the direction of their engine development program and eliminate it after Chip Gannassi bought the team. Scott also worked at Richard Childress Racing in their qualifying andR&D areas for a number of years.

Scott gained Drag Racing experience at Racing Engine Development. He worked on a number of programs with Butch Leal, Rickie Smith and Dale Eikie.

"The guys in the shop have really been great. Everyone in the shop
has welcomed me with open arms," said Scott DeYoung. "Hans Mogensen
and Rick Rossiter have really gone out of their way to make me feel at
home. The Coughlin family has been great to work with and I am really
looking forward to this."

The team understands that they will under go a brief learning curve. However, they are very optimistic that it is the best thing for the entire team.
