JEG'S Mail Order Racing Sunday Pit Notes

The sun broke through the clouds during the pre-race ceremony. The Pro Stock car followed Top Fuel and Funny Car. The track heated up quickly and running after the Fuel cars gave the Pro Stock class less then ideal track conditions.

In the first round Jeg faced off against George Marnell. Coughlin had lane choice and to the left lane. The yellow and black JEG'S Mail Order machine took a big reaction time advantage in this battle. Jeg left the starting line with authority. The car took off like a rocket and never left the middle of the groove to take the win light. Jeg commented, "This run gives us the baseline that we needed. The sun is out and the track is getting hotter with each minute, we are on target!"

Jeg went head-to-head against Jim Yates in the second round, lane choice went to Yates. The JEG'S car ran into problems in the burnout box. The car would not go into fourth gear. Jeg tried to do a burnout, but the wheel speed just wasn't there. Without a burnout under his belt Jeg pulled up to the starting line to stage. Yates staged first and Jeg soon followed. Jeg left the starting line first with the hopes that Yates would red light or get out of shape. "We knew that we broke something in the transmission and that any thing could happen in the other lane," noted Jeg.
