Jeg Coughlin is ready for action in Reading.

Jeg Coughlin entered the rain delayed day two of qualifying for the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals in the No.1 qualifying position. The 2002 POWERade Champion returned to Maple Grove Raceway fresh off a win one weekend earlier and was looking to fine tune his setup on Saturday in his quest for two wins in as many races.

Jeg posted a respectable pass of 6.803 seconds at 202.27 mph in the day's first session. It was the first and only pass of the day due to heavy rains that plagued the area for a majority of the day.

"We were pretty comfortable with our position heading into today's session," explained Jeg. "We tried a couple of things that our JEG'S Mail Order Cavalier didn't respond well to. I am confident that we have a good baseline to work with tomorrow and I am definitely looking forward to getting behind the wheel on Sunday."

It will be a classic Pro Stock battle as No.3 qualifier Jeg Coughlin squares off against No. 14 qualifier Warren Johnson in opening round action in final eliminations at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals.
