Connollys, Koretsky Team Up at  SuperNationals;
Ray Connolly to Drive Koretsky's Super Comp Dragster

Ray Connolly, Pro Stock driver Dave Connolly's dad, will be going after his second consecutive Super Gas NHRA national event victory in the Pro Care Rx SuperNationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, N.J., June 21-24.

While Ray Connolly will be driving the same Super Gas dragster that won at
Chicago (June 10), it is now owned by Kenny Koretsky, Pro Stock
driver/entrepreneur. It's a one-race deal for Connolly who, with his son, will be tutoring
Kyle Koretsky. Kyle, 18 and the youngest Koretsky son, will soon be driving
the car in Super Gas competition.

"I said, 'don't get mad at me now because I sold the dragster,' when I told my dad," Dave Connolly said while laughing. "We have a new car ordered and we are happy to help Kyle. Kenny is a good friend who has done a lot for us. We're going to do whatever we can to help Kyle get a good feel for the dragster.

"I started my driving career in Super Comp and then moved into Pro Stock, so
it isn't a bad road to take."

Ray Connolly came close to pulling off a rare double victory at Chicago, reaching the finals in both Super Comp and Super Gas, where he lost a close race to Brian Forrester.
