Troy began the second day of qualifying sitting in the No. 5 position. During the second session he improved over his previous time. Troy ran a 6.938 at 198.61 mph and stayed in the No. 5 position after two of the four scheduled qualifying session.

"We are moving in the right direction," said Troy. "The valuable information that we gained yesterday as a team really helped us to fine tune our set up for today. I believe that we will continue to improve tomorrow."

Jeg was the man on the top of the page when the "factory hot rods" pulled into the lanes for the second session. He improved over his qualifying time from the first session. Jeg ran an impressive 6.904 at 197.71 mph and kept the No. 1 spot.

"Running strong like we did yesterday right out of the trailer just helped us that much more today," explained Jeg. "We now have data on both lanes and that should help us to continue to improve tomorrow."
