Millican and Team 104+ Performance Additives to Begin 2005 Season at NHRA CARQUEST Winternationals
Chicago - February 8, 2005 Clay Millican of Team 104+ Performance Additives/Lehman Racing will begin his 2005 Top Fuel season at the NHRA CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals in Pomona, Calif. on February 10-13 at the Pomona Dragway.
"I'm really excited to get back out on the race track after having a few months off," said Millican. "Hopefully Team 104+ will come out strong in the first race. We always seem to do well at this racetrack so hopefully that tradition will continue."
Millican has a history of success at the Winternationals. He has advanced to the semi-final round two out of the three times he has raced at the event, and advanced to the quarterfinals once. Additionally, he qualified in the number 6, 2, and 3 positions in 2002, 2003, and 2004, respectively.

In 2004, Millican race in 10 of the 23 NHRA national events that took place, finishing 14th in the NHRA POWERade Top Fuel point standings and averaging 59 points per race. Additionally, Millican advanced to his first-ever NHRA Top Fuel final at the O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston, and followed-up with two more consecutive final rounds at the events in Bristol, Tenn., and Atlanta, Ga.
The CARQUEST Auto Parts Winternationals marks Millican's first of five NHRA events on the Lehman Racing team's schedule for 2005. It is likely that more events will be added as the season progresses. In addition to his NHRA schedule, Millican will also race for a fifth consecutive Top Fuel title on the IHRA circuit with Team Werner.
