NEFF FOCUSED HEADING INTO SECOND HALF

NORWALK, OH (June 27, 2008) --- As the NHRA heads to the halfway point of the season entering the 2nd annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio the race for the Auto Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award -- presented annually to the NHRA professional rookie of the year -- is well underway. In the Funny Car class two Ford Mustang drivers are battling to grab the $25,000 bonus check that will be presented at the end of the year banquet.

Mike Neff, driver of the Old Spice Ford Mustang, has emerged as the front-runner ahead of fellow rookie Bob Tasca III, driver of the Motorcraft/Quick Lane/Custom Accessories Shelby Mustang. Neff has reached three final rounds and grabbed the No. 1 qualifying position at the Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol in the first eleven national events this season.

If Neff prevails as the 2008 Road to the Future winner he will be continuing a tradition at John Force Racing. Two of his three teammates have won the award; Robert Hight in 2005 and Ashley Force in 2007.
