NORWALK, Ohio (June 30, 2007) -- Running the best elapsed time of the third qualifying session -- a 6.667-second pass down the Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park quarter-mile -- Jason Line, the reigning NHRA POWERade Pro Stock champion, qualifying No. 6 for tomorrow's eliminations at the inaugural Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

In a battle of Pontiac GTOs, Line, who is on the opposite side of the elimination ladder from his teammate, will go against Justin Humphreys. Humphreys qualified No. 11 with a 6.676-second pass.

While I 'm not completely satisfied how we ran during qualifying, there are some high points," said Line, who drives one of the two Summit Racing Equipment Pontiacs fielded by KB Racing LLC. "First, we're not on the same side of the ladder as (teammate) Greg (Anderson). I'm happy about that. Also, I feel we have room for improvement with our Summit Pontiac in tomorrow's eliminations. I wish we had laid down a real good number but we'll review what we have and try to improve on that. At least we were consistent. We'll be okay. I just have to concentrate on driving good and hope that we can win our sponsor's race."
