Jeg's cars are looking forward to day two

In the opening qualifying session Troy Coughlin and his Jeg's Mail Order Chevy Cavalier laid down a 6.987 at 197.74 mph. He ended up in the No. 16 spot by the end of the session and will have three more opportunities to improve.

"We are headed in the right direction and it is always nice to start the weekend with a good run under your belt," said Troy.

Jeg Coughlin Jr. rolled onto the starting line as the defending event champion. He blasted off of the line and laid down a 6.948 at 198.00 mph. The run was good enough to move him into the No. 5 slot.

"Starting the weekend off on the right foot can really help the momentum of the team for the weekend. We are looking forward to improving with each run and get a better handle on the new surface for raceday," explained Jeg.

In the second session Troy crossed the finish line beams with a run of 6.993 at 197.45. The run was not an improvement and he slipped to the No. 25 position.

"The run felt a lot strong from the seat. We decided to change engines going into the second day of qualifying. Our group is really looking forward making some solid run tomorrow," commented Troy.

Jeg improved over his previous run. The yellow and black Jeg's Mail Order Chevrolet threw a 6.920 at 198.32 mph up on the board. The run was good enough to move him up to the No. 3 position.

"We are making solid runs and we are moving in the right direction," indicated Jeg.
