Sutherlands & Dutch Boy Paints Back Pawuk At O'Reilly Summer Nationals in Topeka
RICHFIELD, OH 5/9/05 One week after he celebrates his 21st Anniversary in Pro Stock, Mark "Cowboy" Pawuk will be competing in the NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka, where he was the runner-up in 2001, and where his Pontiac Grand Am will be sporting the colors of Dutch Boy Paints and the Sutherlands Lumber & Home Improvement Centers.
"There are 69 Sutherlands stores located in 11 states," said Pawuk. "There are a half dozen stores in the Kansas City area, where the company is headquartered. I've been through a few of the stores and was tremendously impressed with not only the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, but with the wide variety of products available, which includes the entire Dutch Boy paint line.
"We raced with Dutch Boy support a few years ago, and are pleased to welcome them back."
Dutch Boy is a member of the Sherwin-Williams family. Dutch Boy continues to be the industry leader in introducing innovative paint packaging solutions which began with the "Twist & Pour" gallon container. This featured a twist-off lid and convenient pour spout that makes painting cleaner and easier. Recently introduced is the new Ready to Roll project-sized container that combines paint with a convenient built-in roller tray all in one unit.
"I'm all thumbs when it comes to home improvement" acknowledges Pawuk, "But my wife put me to work with the Ready to Roll system and even I got the job done without covering myself with paint! I actually got the colors where I wanted 'em to be, which for me was a pretty big deal.
"Now the object is to put some of those Dutch Boy and Sutherland 'colors' into the winners circle in Topeka."
