LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Today at the third annual AC Delco Las Vegas Nationals rookie Pro Stock driver Jason Line drove his Fairway Chevrolet / KB Racing Pontiac Grand Am to a 6.882 / 200.41 mph to secure the number 2 position on the Pro Stock eliminations ladder.

"This shows you what good equipment, and a good team, can do for a guy like me," said Line of Terrell, NC.

"I don't think anyone, myself included, thought I could qualify this good, this quick. I am the one driving the car, but really, this is about the team Greg and Ken have put together.

"We work as hard, or harder, than any team out here. One person cannot do this by himself. It takes two good teams: one in the pits, and one back at the shop. I am just lucky to have both of those ingredients backing me up here in Las Vegas.

"Right now, I could not be happier or feel luckier. I am just lucky that Greg, Ken and Ken Jr. have given me the opportunity to drive a great racecar like this Fairway Chevrolet Grand Am.

"I just hope that I can come through and make them as proud tomorrow. There is not a bad driver in this class, so I need to be prepared to do my job tomorrow morning. Hopefully, at the end of the day Greg and I will meet in the final round.

"We have proven that we have the horsepower to qualifying both cars at the top of the field. Now we need to prove that both drivers can win races. As long as I do my job, I think tomorrow could be a great day for KB Racing and Fairway Chevrolet."

Eliminations at the third annual AC Delco Las Vegas Nationals will begin at 11:00 AM PST on Sunday October 26.
