"We're pleased with out outing; It was the best this Summit Racing Pontiac has run in a while," said Line following qualifying. "We had hoped that Greg (Anderson, teammate) and I would be on the opposite, but we're not. Even so, we'll try to make the best we can out of it. We'll due what we can to help Greg in the Countdown to 1."

A native of Wright, Minn., Line now lives in the Charlotte, N.C area. He is in search of his 14th career win. In 2007, he has one win (at Houston over Allen Johnson) in four final rounds. He was runner-up at Phoenix, Chicago, and Sonoma.

At The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Line is still looking for his first win. He has finished runner-up twice, both at the fall edition of the two events that are held annually in Las Vegas. In 2006, he was runner-up to Richie Stevens, and in 2004 to teammate Greg Anderson.
