LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Greg Anderson, driver of the Vegas General Construction Pontiac Grand Am has qualified Number 1 for the third annual AC Delco Las Vegas Nationals.

In the final session of qualifying, Anderson drove his Grand Am to a 6.866 / 200.44 mph to earn his thirteenth pole of the season.

It was a good day for the KB Racing team with Anderson on the pole and teammate Jason Line qualified Number 2.

"This is great," said Anderson of Charlotte, NC. "This is the way I wanted it to be; Jason and me number one and number two.

"This proves that can run a two car team successfully. That you can prepare two cars the same way and have them perform equally as well.

"It is a real tribute to the depth of this Vegas General Construction team; the depth of the team, depth of the people, and the depth of our engine program.

"Our performance is not a fluke. We strive every day to get better, to find more power, and be the best that we can be. We have worked hard for every accomplishment this season, and we are not done yet.

"It is great to be able to qualify Number 1 here in Las Vegas. My team owner, Ken Black, this is his home. He makes it possible for Jason and I to be here racing today. So, the best way that I could think of to thank Ken, Ken jr. and all the employees of Vegas General Construction would be to have Jason and I racing each other in the final round tomorrow."

Eliminations at the third annual AC Delco will begin at 11:00 AM PST on Sunday October 26.
