Millican, a native of Drummonds, Tenn., was in the number 15 position heading into the final qualifying round. After the first two drivers made their passes, Millican was bumped to the number 18 spot. He responded well to the pressure, clocking an elapsed time of 4.641 at 313.75 mph, which moved him into the number 11 spot.

"Man, I was nervous going into this round," said Millican. "It took four pulls on the slot machine before we got it done, but this 104+ Octane Boost/Lehman Racing team did an awesome job."

Millican will face number six qualifier Larry Dixon in the first round of eliminations tomorrow, which start at 11:00 a.m.
