The Advance Auto Parts team was looking to go rounds in final eliminations on Sunday. As Pedregon entered the staging area, the sun began to shine. With the track temperature climbing with each second, the "Cruzer", facing Ashley Force, wasted no time by nailing the starting line tree with a .046 reaction time.

"We had a lead on Ashley Force." stated Pedregon. "The Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet was in the groove, then the track just wouldn't hold the power we were giving it and it spun the tires.Overall, we had a really consistent car that was good right off the hauler. If you're not consistent, you're not going to win.We are going on to Atlanta and looking forward to doing well there."

"With each run, we are making progress," said crew chief, Wayne Dupuy. "We are working hard at getting more top end speed.I'm looking at the data from this weekend. We'll make some changes for Atlanta."
