Team Koretsky welcomes Snap-On Tools to Chicago.
JOLIET, Ill. -- Team Koretsky is hoping for sunny, blue skies in both the weather and team results as qualifying begins for the NHRA Chicagoland Dodge Dealers Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill.
Team owner and veteran driver Kenny Koretsky, from Richboro, Pa., is optimistic about this weekend's racing.
"The Valspar Refinish/ Snap-On Pontiac Grand Am that Richie (Stevens) drives has been coming on of late," said Koretsky. "We have the car qualifying and went several rounds at last weekend's race in Topeka. If we can keep the power under the hood, Richie has a chance at winning one of these things. He's one of the better drivers on the circuit.
"My Valspar Refinish/Bucks County Kawasaki/Rally Wax Chevy Cavalier has only four runs in actual competition on it going into this race, but we are excited with the potential we see. As soon as we see what the car wants and develop a set up and tune up to match those needs, we expect to be back in the thick of the battle."
Both Koretsky and his teammate Richie "the Kid" Stevens, from New Orleans, are excited about this weekend's hospitality that is being hosted by marketing partner Snap-On Tools.
Said Stevens, "Snap-On Tools is a long time sponsor all the way back to when I began racing as a pro. I look forward to meeting their associates and customers, both new and old."
Also, regarding the hospitality, Koretsky added, "As a marketing partner Snap-On Tools is an important part of the success of Team Koretsky. We look forward to meeting their employees, sales force and customers and welcome all to the race. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to see many of them in our pit area."
