Notes: This is the second consecutive race weekend that Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to Talladega . . . this is the only track at which NASCAR teams will run this tire set-up in 2005, though it is similar to the one run at Daytona . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Talladega . . . inflation on those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.

Goodyear Quote -- Mark Keto, Lead Engineer, Stock Car Racing: "Tires are generally a non-issue at Talladega. We had good results with this set-up this spring, and we expect more of the same this weekend. As always at Talladega, because wear is so minimal, you should see some two-tire stops during this race."
