HERBERT READY TO RACE FOR SNAP-ON HOME TEAM

Joliet, Ill. (June 6, 2007) The Torco Racing Fuels Route 66 NHRA Nationals will take place in just a few short days, and Doug Herbert, driver of the Snap-on Tools Top Fuel dragster knows just howfun and important this race weekend will be.

With Snap-on Tools corporate headquarters less than a hundred miles away in Kenosha, Wis., there will be many Snap-on executives, employees and franchisees watching the 8,000 horsepower Snap-on dragster speed through the quarter-mile at more than 300 mph.

"I always look forward to coming to Route 66," said Herbert. "Being able to see all my Snap-on friends from the main office is really fun. I've made lots of friend over all the years I've been associated with Snap-on, and getting to catch up with them face to face instead of over the phone or by email is one of the main reasons I like coming to this track."

As the site of Herbert's most recent win, it is easy to understand the other reason the Lincolnton, N.C., resident enjoys coming to Route 66.

"We used to race twice a year at this track," said Herbert, "and I won the fall race in 2004. Wining in front of the Snap-on home team was great, and it would be fantastic to do it again.

"Topeka was a frustrating weekend for us, but it's behind us now. We are going to focus on the future. This Snap-on Tools dragster is a top eight contender, and the entire team is out to make sure we prove it this weekend and for the rest of the season.

"We plan to go rounds and take home another win at Route 66. I just hope we can fit all the Snap-on people in the winner's circle picture!"
