BAYTOWN, Tex-Federal Mogul Dragster points leader Jay Meyer will be looking to win his fourth straight race this weekend at the O'Reilly Nationals presented by Pennzoil. The Freeport, Texas native won the Division 4 Federal Mogul Drag Racing Series race here earlier in the year, and will be looking to win another in front of the hometown fans.

"We are going to just keep plugging along like we have been doing. We have been off for a couple of weeks, and were going to have to get our focus back," said Meyer. "We have had the car home, and had a real good chance to go through it, and I think we found a problem in the clutch. We hope we can get that fixed, and pick the mile per hour up some. Our main thing is that we have to go out there and stay focused, and take it one round at a time," added Meyer.

Meyer won the first Division 4 FMDRS race here earlier in the year, running a 5.415 in the final. Meyer will be looking to get close to that performance level this weekend with the new supercharger rule.

"I think we should be able to come fairly close to that .41. I think we can run a .44 or .43. We ran a .46 in Gainesville [Gatornationals] under the new rules, and I think we had the same clutch problem there, so there is a little bit left there. It all depends on how the air and track is," Meyer said.
