Jeg Is On The Outside Looking In

Jeg posted a disappointing run of 6.905 at 200.86 mph to start the weekend. The run put him in the No. 26 position after the opening qualifying session.

"We were hoping to make a much better run in the opening session," said Jeg. "I watched my brother Troy run a 6.83 before I got into my car in the staging lanes. We will look over everything and obviously use the data from Troy's run to improve our set up for the rest of the weekend."

In the second qualifying session Jeg improved by posting a 6.859 at 201.22 mph. The run was not enough to break into the quick sixteen by the end of the session. Jeg landed in the No. 18 spot with two scheduled qualifying sessions remaining.

"We made some changes to the set up and it was a move in the right direction," commented Jeg. "The car made a pretty hard move off of the line and I was move the steering wheel a lot for the first 400-feet. We are sneaking up on it with each run we make. Tomorrow morning we just need to make it happen."
