HOUSTON, Texas (March 24) - The 14th Annual O'Reilly Nationals is the first race as a professional for Rodger Brogdon, driver of the CertainTeed Roofing Products Chevrolet S-10 Pro Stock Truck. For his first outing in the Pro Stock Truck class Brogdon was able to hold his own with the series regulars.

Brogdon's best pass of the weekend was run in the second session of qualifying. Although he improved with every lap, his 7.554 / 177.70 mph would not be enough for him to make the show.

"For the last session we threw everything we had at the truck," said Brogdon of Tomball, Texas, "but it wasn't enough. We didn't get in, but I am not unhappy.

"This was just our first race. For our first race I feel like we did pretty well. We ran as good as a lot of these guys, and we learned a lot. What we learned here this weekend we will be able to use at the next race in Las Vegas.

"I would have like to have gotten in here this weekend for my new sponsor CertainTeed Roofing Products. They will be with us for the rest of the year, and I wanted to qualify here to say thank you to them for their support.

"Between now and Las Vegas we will try work on the truck, and we will try and do some testing. We will do the work and be ready to race when we get to Las Vegas."

The next race on the Nationals Hot Rod Association's regular tour will be the 2nd Annual SummitRacing.Com Nationals April 5-8 in Las Vegas, Nev.
