GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 13, 2010) -- Toyota Top Fuel driver Antron Brown registered a blistering 3.803-second/321.04 mph pass to take the top spot in qualifying for Sunday's 41st Gatornationals at the Gainesville Raceway.

Brown's fast time in the final qualifying run marked the second consecutive session that Brown was the fast qualifier to give him six additional bonus points for the weekend. He also gains eight points for being the overall top qualifier.

"After all we've been through the first couple of races, being the number one qualifier today in our Matco Tools/Toyota dragster is really a step in the right direction," said Brown. "The team did a great job and we couldn't have done it without all the support from Toyota and the guys down in the TRD trailer."

Fellow Toyota-sponsored driver Larry Dixon qualified third on Saturday as he looks for his second victory of the season. Dixon also won last year's Gatornationals -- the first-ever victory for the Al-Anabi Racing team. Right behind Dixon is Shawn Langdon in the fourth spot, with his teammate Lucas Morgan rounding out the Toyota Top Fuel contingent in ninth.

Cruz Pedregon was the leader among the two Toyota drivers in Funny Car competition with a 13th in qualifying. He'll match up with his brother, Tony, in a first-round elimination on Sunday. Fellow Camry Solara driver Del Worsham also used his final qualifying run to secure his spot in the field on Sunday in the 14th position. Both Pedregon and Worsham are former Gatornationals winners.
