Automobile Club of Southern California Named Title Sponsor of Hot Rod Reunion, Holley Becomes Presenting Sponsor

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- (July 17, 2007) -- Increasing their continued commitment to the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, the Automobile Club of Southern California has been named the title sponsor and Holley Performance Products the presenting sponsor for the 16th annual Automobile Club of Southern California Hot Rod Reunion, presented by Holley. The event will be held Oct. 12-14, 2007 at Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif.

"We're pleased that these two long-term supporters of the Parks Museum have accepted these increased commitments to the Reunion," said Tony Thacker, executive director of the Museum. "The Auto Club really means it when they say, 'We're always with you,' and Holley, already the presenting sponsor for the Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion in Columbus, Ohio, takes their sponsorship to a nationwide level by adding Bakersfield to the roster."

"Having served as presenting sponsor of this great event since 1995, the Auto Club is honored to elevate its involvement to title sponsor of the Automobile Club of Southern California Hot Rod Reunion in 2007 at historic Auto Club Famoso Raceway," said Rick Lalor, the motorsports and special events manager for the Auto Club.

"Holley is the oldest and winningest company in drag racing history so it only makes sense to sponsor events such as the NHRA Hot Rod Reunions," said Bill Tichenor, Holley's director of marketing. "If you count up all of our brands which include Weiand intakes and superchargers, Lunati Cams, Hooker Headers, NOS Nitrous Oxide Systems, Earl's Plumbing, and Flowtech Exhaust, odds are we had parts on many of these cars originally and now. We are part of this history and we enjoy celebrating it."

The 16th annual Automobile Club of Southern California Hot Rod Reunion, presented by Holley, is part of the museum's Hot Rod Heritage Series which works to bring to life the sights, sounds and people who made history in the early days of drag racing, land speed racing and the golden age of American car culture.

Unique among motorsports events, the Reunion honors some of the top names in hot rodding from the past and features a fabulous array of cool drag cars, street rods, classics, customs and muscle cars of the historic and present-day hot rod eras.

A three-day credential for admission to all events is available for $55 by calling (800) 884-NHRA (6472) or by completing a form found in the Reunion section of the Museum's web site. Auto Club members receive a $5 discount off Adult credential prices. Credentials include a goodie bag with a dash plaque, lanyard and event program. Children 15 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
