I love sugar snap peas. They are not the most expensive item in the produce section, but they are one of the best. This recipe is great to serve with grilled fish and fried rice. I am sure that you will love the taste.
Spicy Sesame Glazed Sugar Snap Peas
(Makes 2-3 serving)
2 Cups Sugar Snap Peas (Fresh/ Cleaned)
1 Tablespoon Butter
2 Teaspoons Sesame Oil (Toasted)
¼ Teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Hot)
2 Teaspoons Light Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Toasted)
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Black)
To Taste Salt
To Taste White Pepper (Ground)
-Boil the snap peas in lightly salted water for 1 minute; Drain
-In a skillet; put the butter, oil and pepper flakes over medium heat.
-When the butter melts, add the snap peas and stir
-Add the brown sugar and sesame seeds
- Season to taste with salt and white pepper
Note: This is a very quick recipe so make sure that you have all of your ingredients measured before you start.
