Heat and tricky racetrack conditions returned to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park Saturday, but it didn't bother Cory McClenathan one bit. He has a lot of confidence in the tuneup in his FRAM Boost Top Fuel dragster going into Sunday's eliminations.

McClenathan's last run of 4.599 seconds at 321.50 mph provided a confidence boost, he said. "I was happy with that. It was a good run considering the hot weather. This is what we expect tomorrow. I think we have done a good job when it comes to having a good hot weather racing combination."

Cory Mac starts from ninth position on the strength of his 4.584 at 327.74 mph effort from Friday. He races David Baca, No. 8, 4.582 at 325.69.

"We expect to go rounds tomorrow," added McClenathan. "Wes (Cerny), Tony (Shortall, crew chief and assistant crew chief, respectively) and all the crew are really doing a great job."
