DILLMAN WINS SECOND PRO RACE OF THE SEASON DURING THE NATIONAL DRAGSTER CHALLENGE AT IRP

INDIANAPOLIS (May 29, 2006) Greg Dillman is off to a tremendous start of the season as he picked up his second win in three races at IRP during the National Dragster Challenge race held on Monday. In the Automotion Race Cars Pro class, Dillman posted at 6.406 second run at 105.80mph to Jeremy Mitchell's losing 7.148 second 93.16mph run. Dillman hasn't made changes to his 1967 Camaro in the off season and can't really explain his fast start.

"I've had lots of luck this year and haven't done anything different," said Dillman. "Luck has been on my side more than usual I guess."

The National Dragster Challenge race is a special event during the year long VP Fuels E. T. Bracket Series races. The winners in the Joe Barszcz Super Pro, Automotion Race Cars Pro, United Construction Super Pro Bike and Street Class all received a NHRA Wally Trophy for their victories.

"I think it is special to not only win at my home track, the home of the Mac Tools U. S. Nationals but also getting a Wally is very exciting," stated Dillman. "So far the Wally is on my kitchen counter but I'm sure it will be on the mantle by tonight."

On Monday six points paying categories were contested during the day: Joe Barszcz Racecraft Super Pro, Automotion Race Cars Pro, United Construction Super Pro Bike, Rightway Automotive Street, Junior Dragsters and MPH Quarter Mile.

Drivers who took home hardware were: Wes May in the Joe Barszcz Racecraft Super Pro; Greg Dillman in the Automotion Race Cars Pro; Nate Garrison in the United Construction Super Pro Bike category; Chris Stephenson in the Rightway Automotive Street division; Austin Carter in the Junior Dragsters category and Danny Crawley in the MPH Quarter Mile division. During the race one non-points paying race was held with Tony Sheehan winning the IRP sponsored Trophy class.

Mark Cox won the Staging Lane sponsored, Best Reaction Time of the day award, with a perfect .000 time off the tree. Best Package went to Ricky Shipp with a dial in of 6.48 and a run of 6.481, .003 package.

The next race in the VP Fuels E. T. Bracket series event will be held on June 17th and 18th. On Saturday gates open at Noon and time trial begin at 2:00 P. M. On Sunday gates open at 7:00 A.M. and time trials begin at 9:00 A. M.
